King of the Walk. Proud rooster strutting in the barnyard. I used a thick application of oil paint to create this lively scene. My daughter raised chickens for 4H. Often, I got to see this flashy rooster swagger in front of the hens. He was beautiful bird. It was my desire to capture him on canvas in an Impressionistic style. This is an original oil painting. The colors are blue, green, with a pop of fiery red to set off the king of the roost. Size 12” in length and 9” in height.
