This silk velvet burnout scarf measures 14x72 with an additional four inch fringe. Drapes beautifully and very soft.The velvet is a geometric pattern, created by removing part of the velvet (thus, burn out, also called devore) to reveal sheer silk underneath. The velvet layer is rayon and was dyed a beautiful royal purple and shimmers in the light. The silk layer was dyed a sapphire blue. It's a stunning scarf and a gorgeous accessory.
There is a variation to choose from, where the velvet top layer is purple and the silk layer is turquoise. Perfect gift for the holidays. This scarf is light weight and is wearable in all seasons.
